>> Amy Caskey

Amy Caskey began her synchro career in Peterborough, Ontario with the Kawartha-Trent Synchro Club. She moved to OSSC in 1994, and was a member of the club until 2004. In 1995, Amy was named to Canada’s Junior National Team where her team won Gold at the Junior World Championships. She continued to meet with great success as an athlete, as a member of the National B Team (1998-2000) and the National A Team and Centre of Excellence (2000-2003). Some of her victories include a Bronze medal at the World Aquatic Championships in 2001, first place at the German Open in 2003, and a Silver medal at the Pan American
Games in 2003.

We are so fortunate at the OSSC to be benefiting from Amy’s rich and varied coaching experience both at home and internationally. In 2004, Amy began coaching Tier 6 and 7 at Optima Synchro where she quickly earned a reputation as a kind and fair coach with great technical and creative abilities. She then coached at Variety Village (2005-2007) and at the Granite Club (2007-2008). On an International level, Amy coached the Venezuelan National Team (2005-2006) in preparation for the South American Games in Cartagena, Columbia. In 2007 she ran a synchro camp in Hampshire, England and choreographed a combo routine for the Rushmoor Synchro Club in London.

Most recently, Amy met with great success as the Head Coach of the Team Ontario Junior Team at the US Open in Cleveland, Ohio (July 2008) where her athletes won Gold medals in the Team, Solo and Duet events, and a Silver in Combo.
This year Amy will be coaching Tier 7 athletes with Elena Podolsky. We are so very fortunate to have such a strong coaching team. Welcome back to the OSSC Amy!
