Synchro Canada announced its selection for the 2007 National A, B and Junior Teams on May 9, confirming that OSSC's Jennifer Knobbs will return to the National stage for a third consecutive year.
Team selections were made following 2-days of intensive tryouts at the Saanich Commonwealth Pool in Victoria BC, where just days earlier Jenn captured a silver medal in the Tier 7 junior figures competition and another silver medal in the junior solo competition at the Canadian Open Championships.
Having previously swum with the Junior National Team in 2005 and 2006, Jenn will undoubtedly bring a veteran's perspective to the team that should prove invaluable as they prepare to compete at the US Open, slated to take place in Hawaii later this summer.
Jenn's encore performance on the national stage is especially befitting her efforts and accomplishments this season - her final year as a Tier 7 Junior, but the prelude to what promises to be a remarkable senior career.
Jenn, your dedication to the sport of synchronized swimming and your athletic successes inspire and boost OSSC's spirit. Congratulations and best wishes from all of us!! |
