What a way for the 2006/07 competitive season to come to a close!!

Six of OSSC's up-and-coming young swimmers were in London on June 16 & 17 to participate in the 2007 Trillium 12&U Provincial Championships where they delivered some remarkable performances to capture medals in figures, solo and duet.

Kathaleen Carpenter led the team with the highest ranking finish of the event, beating 24 competitors to win a gold medal in the 12&U Solo before joining forces with Sachel Robarts for a strong presentation in duet that earned the pair a second place silver medal finish. Karen Batch - despite being among some of the youngest entries at the meet - also managed to get some strong recognition from the judges, finishing sixth in the 10&U pre-set solo final. OSSC congratulates all of its young athletes on their fine performances at Trilliums, and would especially like to recognize and thank coaches Taya Amundson, Randi Deskin and Nikki Neufeld for all the time and energy they have invested in developing these future synchro stars. Indeed, the future looks bright for OSSC!
