>> Biggest Struggle is Repeating Success
It may be a tall order for Kelly Hogan to top the year she had in 2007, but the OSSC Tier 6 coach has a plan to do it.
In May of last year, Kelly coached the OSSC ‘Gold’ team to a gold medal finish at the 2007 Canadian Espoir National Championships, something that OSSC hadn’t done for 20 years prior.
Since September, Kelly has been working with a new group of Tier 6 athletes, putting together a creative routine in hopes of repeating the success the club enjoyed last season.
While the team has already unveiled its presentation, taking first at Provincial Trials in January and then returning for a repeat gold medal performance at Provincial Championships in February, the true test of what lies ahead of them on their journey to Nationals will come during the 2008 Eastern Atlantic Divisional Challenge, when they will meet some of the best teams from the Atlantic provinces and Quebec, who have historically had a stronghold on the podium.
The Eastern Atlantic Divisional Challenge takes place in Montreal March 12 to 16 at the Claude Robillard Pool in Montreal.
Good luck to Kelly and the Gold team as well as all of the OSSC coaches and athletes who will attend.
