>> Young Athletes Shine at Trillium Recreational Meet
Seven young, up and coming athletes from the Olympium Synchronized Swimming Club are celebrating their successes following the 2007 Trillium Recreational Figures Meet, which was held in Orangeville at the Alder Street Community Centre on November 24.
Hosted by Synchro Swim Ontario and supported by volunteers and coaches, the popular event provided the opportunity for over 100 participants to demonstrate their basic synchro abilities in four distinct levels of competition, while maintaining a strong emphasis on personal improvement and having fun. Three panels of judges were kept busy (and amused) for the better part of 4 hours as swimmers enthusiastically executed their pre-set figures and then eagerly awaited their results.
Congratulations to Zoe Hlady, Lorissa Zucchetto, Sumher Coimbra, Julia Pedra, Natasha Petrova, Anjelica Giordano and Sophia Viti who capably represented OSSC in the Level 1 category by performing Front Pike Pulldowns, Back Tuck Somersaults and Sailboat Alternates.
Your swimming skills are looking great girls – keep up the good work!!
