>>USA Speedo Junior National Championship
 The OSSC Tier 7 Junior Team has just returned from a very successful experience at the USA Speedo Junior National Competition in Seattle. Our girls scored some amazing results and thoroughly enjoyed this experience in the USA. There was an exciting fight for 1st in the team event that the girls were thrilled to see.Walnut Creek’s “Bollywood” routine wowed us all and took first place in routine. Santa Clara’s classical routine came a close 2nd, and in the end Santa Clara pulled ahead with their figure scores to take 1st place in the competition.
Now for OSSC!! Our team won 2nd place in figures (out of 25 teams)!! We missed first place by only .016!!! Way to go Tier 7s!! This is truly an amazing accomplishment and reflects the hard work of our athletes and our coaches. We know that we were highly respected for this result by our American hosts and we were proud to do so well at this USA meet..

Our Tier 7 Team won a medal for their 5th place finish. Their creative “wolf” routine was very well received and of course their strong figure results helped! Congratulations Team!
In the Solo event Candace Caskey took 11th place with her elegant performance, scoring 80.500. Carlin Jessop pleased everyone with her pre-swim scoring an impressive 79.500.
In the Duet event Victoria Mintz and Annette Petersen just missed the final by.097!! We are very proud of their strong 9th place finish. (Sarah Graham and Lara Tutton pre-swam this event scoring 78.333 with their up-beat 50s rock routine that had everyone dancing in their seats!)
We would all like to thank Elena Podolsky and Kerri Morgan for taking the OSSC athletes to this event. Their willingness to give our girls this extraordinary experience shows great commitment and enthusiasm for our girls growth and personal achievement. It is this type of experience that reminds us how lucky we are to be a part of OSSC!
