New to the Olympium Synchronized Swim Club in 2005, Elena Podolsky is a NCCP Level 3 synchronized Swimming coach with a career spanning 22 years, including 8 in Russia before coming to Canada with her family in 1990.

Over the years, Elena has made tremendous contributions to the sport of synchronized swimming, including the design and implementation of new training programs which she has shared with athletes and coaches from a number of different countries around the world including Australia , Cuba , Greece , Hungary , Korea , Malaysia and Slovakia .

In 1996, Elena was awarded the Synchro Canada/Susan Eon Trophy as the sport's most promising new coach. In 2001, she was honoured by 3M, in collaboration with the Coaching Association of Canada (CAC), for her outstanding contribution to coaching and athlete development.

Elena continues to share her extensive experience and expertise by serving as the Coaches Representative on the Synchro Ontario Board of Directors.

In 2005 Elena was named assistant coach of the Canadian 13 - 15 National Team which represented Canada at the Comen Cup in Saloniki Greece , August 4 - 7.

In addition to her coaching responsibilities, Elena is also a Level 1 judge.
