>> Competitive Programs

OSSC currently provides programs for approximately 80 athletes ranging in age from 6-18, which run from August to June every year.

OSSC offers one of the finest and most comprehensive programs in Canada; a full range of programs from the introductory level to the most senior elite level. Our programs range from a once per week recreational class to the full time training program of an international level athlete.

We believe in a complete training approach at all levels. We focus on ensuring that our athletes are physically and mentally prepared to excel in both our sport and in life. We take pride in the development of our swimmers as people and as athletes.

The full range of programs we provide for our athletes includes synchro skills development and choreography by top level NCCP Certified Coaches, stroke improvement and endurance training by highly skilled competitive swimming coaches, individualized strength training programs, dance instruction, flexibility training, artistic development,  and mental training, all within an environment that encourages personal growth and personal development. Swimmers who enter our programs will leave as athletes who have learned how to achieve excellence in synchro as well as in life. We are developing successful athletes and healthy, successful adults of tomorrow.

National Competitive Program Opportunities

15 & Under, Junior (15-18), and Senior (18+): A first experience at nationally competitive "A" level synchro to highly competitive national level teams which train 5-6 sessions per week. OSSC offers training in artistic development, dance, diving, flexibility, stroke development, and endurance training. Younger swimmers develop goal-setting skills as well as self-evaluation and self-awareness. As athletes advance in their training, they focus on psychological development, communication skills, time management skills and enhanced motor development. Athletes compete in all levels of national competition as a team. As well, many of the athletes at this level compete in duet and solos. Athletes in these categories train for positions on Canada's 13-15 National Team, the National Youth Team and National "A" and "B" teams.
